Thank you so much Jackie and SantaFe. I really like Take Me's lyric, it seems that it talks his musical career. This guy still sings with a lot of passion and feeling. His voice is a bit worn, but I think is perfect for the situation.

About Rise, it was said that he was inspired by the dog of the races? I have the feeling that the song talks about what is expected of him (Richie) but that he does not really feel that way. Or maybe Bon Jovi.

Thanks for the lyrics ! I hadn't really paid the lyrics that much attention but Take Me is definitely his side of the story. Interesting stuff....

Rolo and Thinny, you guys are so very welcome. It's my pleasure - literally.

As I was listening and proofreading, I realized that this is probably why I like nearly all the songs these guys do. I remember when they did the 4-video release of Because We Can, I thought it was a brilliant marketing move because by the time I watched the 4 videos and heard the song 4 times in rapid succession it got lodged in my head. I think that's what happens when I listen to the songs over and over to figure out or double-check the lyrics. By the time I've finished, it has cut a groove in my brain.

When I first listened to these songs, "Rise" was my least favorite because it has the same indistinct/busy/noisy sound that made Burn the Candle Down my least favorite on AOTL. But now that I've listened to it enough to get the lyrics, I like it much better and it has its own place in my head.

Thank you Jackie, you did great on the lyrics <3 Knowing the content actually adds so much to the song, sometimes even makes you like the one you wasn't particularly thrilled about... Still, Take Me is my definite favourite. I actually got teary eyed and there were goosebumps all over my body when I heard this song. It made me realise how MUCH I missed Richie's voice...
