Does listening purchased music in a streaming format count? Why would they? If I play a CD in my vehicle 100 times, no one is keeping track of it.
If you're talking about charts, it's really just another form of tracking...

At first it was just based on radio play requests mixed with record single sales... Then Tape and CD single sales took over and it was flip flopped. Now it's all really just internet driven based on streams...

Yeah, you really gotta be aware that there's something out, you won't discover the stuff just by browsing around. Which is an absolute cluster**** if you want to get your name out there. The news should come to the people, not the other way around.

The idea of Richie putting out a compilation of his solo material was something he brought up , I THINK during 2001-ish, as a way to showcase his first two albums. I can't imagine in 2018 that being a good idea due to the stylistic differences in the four eras and the fact that everything is available digitally already now.

It's seems we're finally having an album! It's gonna have a great, very Yankee title and a really nice cover.

What's most important, though, is the tracklist. And it's... nothing great in it :/ It's rather a compilation of what they've already released with the EPs and singles plus 2 new tracks. They've been saying that they have recorded over 30 songs, so I was hoping that some of the tracks already published (especially "Good Times" and "I Got You Babe") wouldn't make it to the album and we would get some new songs instead. All in all, why am I surprised that we are not...?

Anyway, you can find all the details here:

Also, Jon Stevens fronted an Aussie band called Noiseworks (not sure if they had any success outside of Australia and New Zealand or not).

Yes, they confirmed a while ago that the album would be the 2 EPs plus some extra tracks. It is disappointing, but they did also say that more EPs will follow so all is not lost. At least we are finally getting the album.

Basically we already have the album, we just have order that track list, and the last two songs would be missing. How will that new One Night Of Peace modern mix sound? Curious.
