I don't think there's anyway he would expect to get $100k from individual donations. I remember something about a 10-hour (10-day?) window or something that I assumed was for bids to be offered. I'm not sure of the wording; but I got the impression the offer had a time-limit on it.

It looks like he may have reached the target, with the Daily Mail making the winning offer. So that's probably why it was taken down. As part of the "exclusive", the story and images would have gone to the Daily Mail, along with an interview that would give them exclusive rights to quote Richie directly about what was going on with Heather.

I didn't anticipate it coming down so quickly so I didn't screenshot anything. Did anyone notice which organization would get the proceeds? He supports several and I wondered if the airmen's association was going to get the donations because of the flight or if it was one of the others. Or maybe it was a charity that Heather or Ava supports. Just curious.

I'm not sure. Maybe! He's used Daily Mail a LOT in the past to give out info so he for sure has some connection with them.

Interesting. I thought Daily Mail was more Jon's go-to outlet (that and Page Six); and Richie was more associated with Radar and TMZ.

Not that it matters, either way. I didn't mean to imply that there was (or wasn't) a connection. Just offering a possible explanation for why the C-Snaps post went up and then was taken down less than 13 hours later.

Richie offered an exclusive on C-Snaps. The Daily Mail posted an "exclusive". My assumption is that they won the bid; but an assumption is all that is.

Any ideas as to why Richie would have bothered with the C-Snaps post, at all, if he was just going to give an exclusive to the Daily Mail?

You're right, Radar is the one I was thinking of.

It's back up on c-snaps and fans can still donate.

There's a blurb explaining how it works on the c-snaps website and a 'how-it-works' video for celebrity publicists on YT .

This is from the website:

Quote:
Celebrity Donated News

It breaks here first! Celebrities (or publicists on their behalf) break their exclusive news with a push of a button. In seconds, exclusive content is delivered to media outlets selling directly in 54 countries on 7 continents with proceeds going to the celeb’s charity of choice. The celeb’s instant ability to create and control their buzz at lightning speed, on their terms and with their consent, is imperative in optimizing their identity and fame. The paparazzi chase is over since you donated it away first!

Upload your exclusive photo or video, with story or announcement. Choose Charity Partner. Push “Send” and your news will be in 54 countries on 7 continents instantly, generating money (and residuals) for your charity forever!

(PS: And can I just tell you how happy I am that it's 54 countries and not 52!)

I'll put it this way: if Ori HASN'T dumped Richie over supporting Heather so publicly without including her in a united front, she SHOULD.

Why? He's supporting the mother of his child through a tough time. It's not just looking out for an ex girlfriend/wife. It's a very mature way of behaving, I'm sure all sides are grown up enough to see this. I don't see the connection the silly plane thing has to the story, it probably had HL on the side anyway and Richie doing loops in a plane to unwind isn't doing anything for Heather so they are connecting that unconnected event to the story but then that's the Daily Mail. Probably the only negative is that Richie still has contacts and involvements with that rag.

The picture showing a lot of the aircraft had HL in their lettering - I think it was a coincidence @CondorSquadron. Now if he is helping with the care team for his daughters sake, good for him. Made for a media story. The last post he put up on tw was a RT of the air photographer with Ori tagged in June. IF that's the reason - it's just Childish. But my opinion for lots of reasons that would fit her.

You can tell a lot imo about people not just by what they post but what they "favor". If you want to waste some time go look (esp.IG) - but I felt for that same thinking, this was toxic in many ways from the start.

I hope it is over, I hope he gets his head on straight (not a good record though) and comes back with what I think He is still capable of. When the die-hards start to give up, and many have, it's going to be a climb. A lot of If's would have to happen.

Heather needs help. Even if she wasn’t the mother of his child, they still shared significant history. It’s good for Heather to have help and good for Ava to see her dad helping her mom.
