Richie had big plans about Rso but nth materialised. we are living in a media ruled music era where everything has changed in the music landscape.
Richie adverised the whole project with exaggerations and the final result fell short. Some good ideas in there, the songs Richie sang are my favorites but sth is obviously missing from that musical endeavour.
i hope Richie comes back with some nice tunes. not radio material, just sth he feels proud about.
Ori is a gifted musician but musically i dont think they complimented each other. its a pity they worked in that record for such a long time and apart from the disc we wont have any quality live footage.

Crickets could mean because the relationship is done she thinks the band is silence OR could mean silence because not enough people bought the album.

Imo Richie hasn't done a quality live performance since he left Bon Jovi. Since 2014 something went terribly south. There has been some sporadic decent performance of certain songs but overall I mostly want to forget what Richie has peformed on stage since 2013.

I think going back to Bon Jovi is the only thing that could make him go back to at least a decent level again. In Bon Jovi he has Jon, a leader and a boss which Richie desperately needs, both on and off stage.

No doubt there has been some terrible performances, but there has been some gold too. I saw a few shows on the Bad Company UK tour they did and they varied from really bad (Leeds) to really great. Nottingham really stood out as being really enjoyable - vocally he was on incredible form and he went down really well with the audience, as opposed to Leeds when people were just looking at each other in disbelief. I looked for videos of the Notts show at the time and couldn't find any but a few have surfaced since....

His voice still gives me the chills when he's on form, as does the solo in Stranger...

Let it Be:

Stranger:

Midnight Rider/Wanted:

Prayer (Intro):

As usual here though, most people will focus on the negative and ignore the positive....

I think Richie’s done, sadly. He always needed Jon and vice-versa, albeit to a lesser extent. Left to his own devices he is a car crash. If Jon forgave him and offered a way back into the band we might just see flickers of the old magic but trust me that is never going to happen.

For that reason I’m sceptical we’ll ever get another solo record. Perhaps the odd song now and again but RSO lowered my expectations.

I don't think RSO was that bad! They experimented a lot and the songs are of varied success, but can't say they all suck! BJ records are painfully predictable but RSO thing was pretty original. Those guys aren't dead and I'm sure they still have lots to offer.
