The rhetoric that because it was so pop it couldn't have been him? ehhhh I dno.

Dude has MAJOR sensibilities for that stuff. If anything, Ori's work is far guitar heavier than this, It feels like the other way around to me.

We tend to forget the awful songs he did with Nick Lund, the most horrible pop possible.

Some songs are dumb, some are very well made and leave a mark, though the pop element is definitely too strong. Those two could've made an excellent country/blues record if they wanted to. What do you think pushed them to release this muffled pop record with so little guitar work on it?
Two great songs:
- Take me
- Hellhound Train

They could have fit on a Sambora solo album. The rest is rubbish. They obviously tried to hit the charts with a more accessable sound but failed miserably.

I wonder if there is more stuff like these two songs around? I bet there are still songs in the vault he did with Bob Rock that are as good.

Um, sorry but in my opinion Forever All The Way is one of the best songs to come out of the anyone in Bon Jovi camp at all in the last 10-15 years. It's a gorgeous ballad.

I also really like I Don't Want To Have To Need You Now, Walk With Me and Blues won't leave me Alone too. The rest of it varies from Ok to awful, but there's certainly more to take from it that 2 songs! The mix of styles makes it feel messy for sure.
