Am I the only one who thinks that this album won't be released? It's been years since "Richie is working on a new album"... Where is it?

I just think Richie is struggling to get it right. Vocally, Production, Song Writing, etc. I also think the album keeps changing direction. Don't forget, his girlfriend wasn't in the picture initially either.

If Engine 19 was a taste of what we were supposed to get, that album would have been in serious trouble.

"Run for the Roses" is a song on the album The Innocent Age, written and
recorded by singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg in 1981. Released as a single
the following year, it peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. It
has since been used as an unofficial theme for the Kentucky Derby... The
song was commissioned by the ABC television network for the 106th running
of the Derby in 1980.

A "snoozefest" it may be, but I guess you'll have to take that up with Fogelberg and the Derby!
Naaaah! You obviously don't speak/understand Sambora (i.e. a local NJ dialect) he meant a ROCK anthem:

rock anthem
noun

a rock-and-roll song that becomes so popular that it is considered an "anthem", esp. in sports context
Examples

"We Are the Champions" by Queen is considered a rock anthem.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rock+anthem

that is a song that sports supporters sing all together before a sport event. Who sings Fogelbert's song apart from Fogelberg?

I wonder if he will also write a tribute song to Cecil the butchered lion?

I think he wants too much at the same time. Too many influences, too many styles...
After Undiscovered Soul it took 14 years for Aftermath. So I think we still have some time to wait

It took Keef 23 years to release his new solo album. Time is on his side.

I'd say it took 14 years to get Aftermath out because he was influenced by anything but music.

Sebastiaan

There's a JBJ album coming out in less than a month and another one next year. It's not a really good comparison over who puts out material faster.
