I'm not deflecting anything, Jackie. Lest you forget, I'm one of the few people around here who does NOT have an issue with Jon's gray hair. I think he looks quite handsome (Silver Fox, as some say) and it makes his blue eyes stand out even more. I'm gray as a goose naturally, myself and I'm only 40!
And I'm sure as hell not going to body shame *anyone* given what I've gone through in my life and what I deal with with with kids with emotional problems who think they have to look like an air brushed model or a Kardashian and be perfect to fit in. I won't even read the latest thread on "Jon's Beer Gut" about his "less toned physique" because I'm sure it's full of stupidity. Anyone who thinks someone who's a size small who gains 10 pounds is suddenly "fat" needs to have their head examined. I'm not even dealing with it this time around. That's why we have a team.

When (if) you decide to make a
simple innocent joke about Richie, let me know. I'll mark it in red on my calendar.
And I think you'll find "Richie fans" will appreciate it as much as anybody.
For example, I had no problem seeing the humor in your comment about his gray roots, although you had to take OJ's comment about Richie hiring Doc completely out of context in order to point out - in a humorous way, of course - that Jon isn't the only one who's going gray.
But as long as the only jokes you make about Richie are thinly disguised jabs, you can probably expect some push back. Because, lest
you forget, I find humor at the expense of others distasteful. And before you ask, no, I don't usually respond to comments like that about Jon since, as I've said before, you have probably already addressed it - perhaps because the joke isn't quite as funny when it's Jon they're ragging on.
For the record, I don't have a problem with Jon's gray hair either, and have said as much. I don't have an issue with his body. IMO, he looks great, for a man of
any age. And I think it's a shame that people can't even allow the man to relax on a beach without making a big deal over the fact that he doesn't look like he does on stage.
But by the same token, if Richie's happy in a relationship with a consenting adult, I figure it's none of my business how old she is. So while I think it's great that you won't stoop to body shaming, if you could just get that li'l hint of ageism under control...
I recognize that it's my problem; but I just don't understand why people can't seem to resist taking potshots at Jon
or Richie.
And since you apparently didn't pick up on the humor in
my response, I'll try to be more clear. I actually thought your comment WAS funny - just not for the reason you intended. I found it hilarious that you, of all people, would choose the idea of Richie having "an image to keep up" as the punchline, since Jon has made a career of keeping up
his image.
Yeah. Actually laughed right out loud.
And you thought Richie fans couldn't take a joke...
