Someone needs to tell Richie that endless noodling and disjointed jams aren't required in every song.

Not sure if this has been touched upon yet , but I'm starting to think Richie is delaying the release of their album to sorta co-inside with the release of the Bon Jovi album to maybe capitalize on the big promotion ect BJ will have .... Sorta makes sense ....

It was mentioned some time back that it would be a possible smart move to gain some of the "by the way, the former guitarist also has an album out" PR.

I don't know if up until now that had anything to do with it. We have seen Luke come and go, Michael Bearden come and go (the Roman Band interview said RS had a "problem" with his producer is why the RSO album wasn't out when he was talking about the "world tour" he was possibly going to open for them). Plus, pics from Abby Road, multiple LA & Malibu studios, Hi, the Kitchen Table and Canada. Now we have Bob Rock. Maybe it's their Tusk or Chinese Democracy? But no mention of a label either??

I think it is/was a scattered mess and maybe Bob will put some organization to it, but..... Up until the mention of Spring of this year and now Fall were from her - those two release times he said. So could that mean this latest release delay to Fall could have something to do with BJ's release date???

Pretty much. If it were the case of him waiting he wouldn't be spending all that money recording hundreds of songs with multiple producers. It'd just be done.

I agree with this point. Richie does not lost much time with Aftermath, he does not even bother to polish the sound. I think he is waiting for the official release of the new album of Bon Jovi.

What? No, that's not the point I'm making. I'm saying if he were just waiting for the band to put out an album he wouldn't be spending the money on studio time and producers. If he were waiting the album would have been done already. It's not like because the band is still working on the album he needs to be too.

And if the Richie-Ori album is done. And if all this is just an excuse to delay the launch next to the new release of Bon Jovi.

All this is very strange. I've reached a point where I just want to see Richie alone without Orianthi, and for that to happen, first they have to release their album together. After waiting more than two years, I begin to suspect that this will be a disaster.

Judging from their (increasingly bad) live performances and his constant bragging about "Sonny and Cher on steroids" I fear the same.
Richie should just get back to work on stuff as a solo artist and stop doing endless senseless jams that lead nowhere.
