Richie should just get back to work on stuff as a solo artist and stop doing endless senseless jams that lead nowhere.
It is that I feel that this collaboration Richie-Orianthi has been extended too in time. We are in May 2016, I feel like your album together should have been released in late 2014 or early 2015. And now simply Richie could be working on his own album and waiting to be released sometime this year. But this is not happening yet, we are still at the first point, the collaborative album, and that bothers me a little.

If finally, it is a double album, that would be great for me. We might expect a large number of songs in the voice, both Richie as Ori, and it would be as close to a solo album. Because, I need listen to Richie Sambora 'the singer' more than 'the guitarist'.

I sadly expect nothing less than a disaster from the pair. Even as late as the Aftermath tour in 2012, Richie was brilliant. The drop off since then has been huge and his hook up with Orianthi both musically and personally is a big part of it.

With any luck he can release whatever this project turns out to be and hopefully get back on track either with Bon Jovi or properly as a solo artist and not this vanity project just to get laid.

It's been more than 2 years now and we still don't have the album and I got a feeling we won't be getting it any time soon.

All this is very strange. I've reached a point where I just want to see Richie alone without Orianthi, and for that to happen, first they have to release their album together. After waiting more than two years, I begin to suspect that this will be a disaster.
We don't really know at what stage the album is and how they're planning on releasing it. After mixing and mastering are done many steps need to be taken before it's ready for release if it's gonna go the traditional way like photo shoots, epk's, promo appearances, club shows etc. And all that gets put into schedule after the album is done. The album has been pushed back a bunch (can you really say pushed back when it never had an official date set?) but I highly doubt (and hope) that Bon Jovi has anything to do with that.

I also doubt that Bon Jovi has anything to do with why Richie has not released his album yet, honestly I think he is actually enjoying the process than he did with the last BJ album. He has more time to write his own music, he really isn't in any rush, at I think so, and he is winorking with someone who he is obviously very fond of, not just personally but professionally as well. Quite frankly I don't think he cares about BJ album coming out in the fall

Here's the interview, in which Richie says that the album will finish after two weeks and they are currently booking festivals, so things are starting to move.

Hhhmmmm okay. The Sonny and Cher thing is used by the media more than them lately so I don't think constant "bragging" applies to them right now.

I know it's your opinion but my opinion is the jams are a ton of fun. I look forward to them at a Richie performance. If they are having fun it shows on stage. Just as if you are just going through the motions or thinking of other things while singing shows too. And in my opinion Phoning it in to th Big machine is a waste of good money on a ticket.

Bravo well said. I do wonder why everyone is putting a time frame on the album. Stuff happens. Why is okay for Bon Jovi to delay their already recorded, whoops mixing it now sitting on it album and Richie is not allowed that same understanding. But that is another thread.

Just wanted to say Bravo good post.
