Does he really think this sounds good? smdh

At least I hope the charity made some money. Next stop for RSO is the Barnstable Brown event at the Derby again this year.
I saw that tweet, I think once again RS thought he was DM'ing someone and sent it public... haa haa haa. Social media sometimes is so not Richie's forte.

What is happening to my band????

What's with that pink jacket and I'm sorry but that hair needs to go... It looks like he is wearing a freakin wig. (I'll actually credit Jon and never comment on his gray or style again after seeing what Richie is doing)...

The good news is, he didn't seem drunk or awkward. I still however sense somewhat of a chip on his shoulder.

My prediction is, Orianthi will stay with Richie for the duration of this album promo and whatever tour they decide to do. Once this thing dries up, she's out. Richie is going to get all F-ed up and come running back to Jon...

Recap:
The interviewer asked Orianthi about Michael Jackson and she just stated that she joined his last tour... Richie then had to take over and say that Michael hired her on the spot, Prince wanted her (I'm sure he did), and he got her...

The interviewer then asked about the album. They are working in Vancouver right now and about two weeks away from finishing and they just started to book some festivals and stuff like that so things are starting to move...

Not in this interview: Didn't someone state that the new album is called "Rise"? or was that just a rumor?

There's definitely a song called Rise, not sure if it's the title track.

The Prince thing is actually true but it stems from a story Alice Cooper recently told soon after Prince's death.

Just wanted to say Bravo good post.
The way Bon Jovi's album was delayed is nowhere near how many start overs Richie has done on this project. I'm not trying to be mean and make this a them vs him thing but this project has been going on for so long. I'm not even knocking him when I say that, it just has moved through a lot of personnel, studios and producers, backing musicians. It's not the same as Bon Jovi delaying their album, it's just not.

Agree 100% - well stated.

BJ also has the label attachment, so in a way, a "boss" to be accountable to.

Sorry, glp, but there WAS no album attachment last July when Jon said that the album was done but now they had to sit on it until April or May. That was the same event where he implied that BB was about ending their association with the label, IIRC. So that wasn't a factor - at least, not for the entire delay. (That also predated all the March release misinformation, too; so I'm not sure where all that nonsense came from.)

I'm not seeing a big new delay in the Jovi album. I don't understand WHY they had to sit on it, but the September release date isn't that far off from what Jon said then, especially if God Bless This Mess is released in July, which is what I believe Jon said in Austin.

Back on topic, RSO's album will get released when it gets released. As far as I can tell, the "time" spent on the album has been grossly exaggerated by ppl who read everything Ori posts on FB or Instagram as an official press release and assume that they've been working on the album with every musician or producer she makes reference to, which isn't necessarily the case, IMO. I don't think we can judge from that how much of their time has been dedicated to "the album". Some of the timelines I've seen ppl post on here go back as far as February 2014, less than 2 months after they met, ffs! Just because one or the other said they were "writing" doesn't necessarily mean they were working on an album. Maybe they just enjoy writing together.

I'm not sure what the rush is. Most of the ppl who are critical of how long it's taking are the same ones who don't seem to expect much from it anyway, so why do they care?

Not to overstate the obvious, but both albums will come out when the artists are ready to release them and we will either like them or we won't.

On a lighter note: RDK, you need to be careful referring to pictures of Richie and wailing, "What's happened to my band???" Since Becky's probably still too busy trying to untwist her knickers over that to type a response, I'll post it for her:

"If by 'my band' you are, by chance, referring to Jon's band, let me remind you (once again) that Richie Sambora is NOT in Bon Jovi!!"

You're welcome, Becky!

WTF do you feel the need to troll on me and bring ME and my knickers into this conversation? You are constantly trying to engage me in something. I have NO HORSE IN THIS RACE (i.e. Richie/Ori's album) if you'll pardon the pun.

The only time I've commented in this thread in months was March 1 to report that I heard Storme Warren talking on Sirius radio saying that he had been partying with Richie the night before and that a lot of alcohol was involved and that Richie had been writing a lot of country music lately. I wouldn't have even posted that except that it was likely no one else heard the same thing I did.

In the future, leave me out of this conversation because I have nothing else to say about it. Stop trolling me.

You, don't care what makes Richie?, oh, sure, except when there is some gossip where he is being related to: alcohol, drugs or women.

To take sides on that, you enter the game. But welcome your information and opinion anyway Becky.

Okay, so you would rather I NOT post news (not gossip, news... Storme Warren was the guy Richie was partying with) that Richie is writing a lot of country music from a radio station that likely no one else on this forum listens to (The Highway) because the DJ also said he was drinking and it offends YOUR sensitivities? Okay, fine. From now on if I hear anything about Richie on Sirius, I'll keep it to myself.

It's not worth it to try to have a conversation with Richie fans anyway. I wash my hands of the lot of you who are so extreme that you can't be tolerant of anyone who doesn't worship him.

It was a joke, Becky. Sorry, I thought you might appreciate the humor.

No offense intended.
