I've no idea what amount of guitars you're hearing because all I'm hearing is noise buried deep in the mix to resemble some guitar sounds. Again, adding heavy guitars in a mix doesn't make it a rock song, much like Backtreet's Back isn't a rock song either because it contains heavy guitar sounds.

If your defining a genre by what's played on a radio dedicated to said genre you're doing it wrong anyway. Country radio has stopped playing country music. And a song having elements of current country doesn't make it country either. Who Says You Can't Go Home has elements of country in it. It still doesn't make it a country song. Lost Highway has a banjo in it. Still not country.

Yet all he's doing is the same thing. He's been releasing pop songs, just like Bon Jovi. He's just taken the pop elementents up a notch, which is just about the only difference with a Bon Jovi record.
