I don't believe that lack of promotion had any impact on the album what so ever... First of all, the songs aren't that great to begin with... 7 Years is the song that should have driven the album which was mistake number 1... But all the other songs are good at best. Nothing earth shattering...
Second, A Richie Sambora album in 2012 is nothing more than a fan album... Even with all the promotion in the world, that album was going nowhere .
If Bon Jovi the band can't even get any radio play, how the heck is Richie going to...
Third, he promoted it enough... I have a ton of interviews from that time... He was on Howard which is huge exposure and he also did that 5 day run on Craig Ferguson... Plus I remember he did a bunch of other stuff too...
what more could he have done?
There was just no demand for a Richie album in 2012 besides a handful of Bon Jovi fans... it saddens me too but it's a fact...
And the same with RSO
