I see, but the point is still valid as you yourself have 8 copies from ticket sales, which is 7 more than anyone needs, with a further 9 that you could have claimed! I can't imagine that many won't claim them even if they give them away or put them on eBay...

If i was the guy at no. 2 in the charts, I'd be pretty annoyed at being kept off the number 1 spot in this manor

Christmas presents. A copy for each vehicle. They can be used. And this is typical in the industry now, so it’s just an alternative way to get music out there.

Didn't make top 100 in UK.

I think everyone is well past what people will do for sales. It's 2018, get it however you can.

So, I'm curious. What makes this a "re-release" versus continued sales of the original CD and a release of two new digital downloads?

I agree with bjcrazycpa's comment, from the other thread, that it would be ridiculous for them to press more CDs with a huge inventory of the original that didn't sell all that well to begin with; and I can see how giving the CDs away with concert tickets pumps up the numbers. But why call it a re-release? Is the tour going to be the THINFS Re-Release Tour? Or the WWWU tour?

I don't get it. Sounds like nothing more than marketing semantics to me.

I whole-heartedly agree. If the physical cd isn't back in stories with bonus tracks and they're just re-distributing the same copy people could by previously it's all routed around the promo coming their way from the Rock Hall. "This album came out in 2018" sounds loads more tantalizing and current then "This came out in 2016" but end of the day nothing was really re-released. Right? It's like it was done specifically for print blurbs.

I ordered a CD from amazon that had the two new songs as the first two tracks. They only had one copy in stock when I ordered it. I haven’t received it yet. The two new songs have not shown up in my digital library.

How was it listed? Island had it available "one day only" on Amazon Music for $3.99 but I could only find downloads. When I changed the format to CD it took me to the deluxe version of the original release with no new tracks listed. I couldn't find anything showing a physical copy of a re-release with the new songs included.

I know that on Spotify they have the two new songs with the THINFS Deluxe available for download. But I haven't found a physical copy anywhere.

If they are going to end up #1 in the states they will probably get the record for biggest drop from #1 the following week!
