I don't mean to offend you here, but I think you're the troll...

Agree.
How can you be proud of a no 1 album that was given away and passed as sales?
No one is “gleeful” the album out the charts but it’s a fake number 1.
The correct position based on sales is where it was 3 weeks ago.
They can’t even claim that WWWU and Walls helped as the album they gave away didn’t have them on and you can’t buy the album with them on. Download only.

Rosa, I don't know where you saw glee, or anything like that, in any of the above posts. Just because people see something predictable happening, and comment on it, doesn't necessarily mean that they wanted it to happen or that they're happy about it. If a car in front of me swerves across the center-line into on-coming traffic, I can see a wreck about to happen; and I might even say something about it. Doesn't mean I wished it into existence.

I don't know much about AC charts; and quite honestly, I'm surprised that it's been that long since a song debuted higher than #15. But I can be excited over the news Becky posted because it sounds like a legitimate accomplishment. On the other hand, #1 record that was based on a numbers game to begin with, and only set them up to drop like a rock the following week, was a bad PR move. That's just my opinion, and the PR move is only thing that opinion applies to. It doesn't say anything about what I think about Jon, or the quality of the band or their music.

Related to this conversation, Judas Priest will have their highest career debut at #5 this week due to bundling CDs with ticket sales.

Isn't in funny how in the Judas Priest articles regarding this the headings are all about how it is their highest debut and the text about ticket sales bundles is just a small mention. Where as the Bon Jovi articles were all about highlighting the fact that it was about how they only managed it because of the ticket sales. Just goes to show how the media manipulate stuff get get across the message that they want....

Funny how BJ then manages to score a #1, while Judas Priest only manages a #5

The difference is that Metalica has the actual sales to back up their feat.

Metalica's 2016 album did significantly better in sales than THINFS, and didn't drop off the charts 1 week later. It sold 291,000 copies first week, but still went on to sell 4 million albums - which is definitely nowhere near the case for Bon Jovi - they didn't even get to a quarter of that.
