I’ve been listening to Volume off and on today. Apparently Prince was the first to bundle an album with tickets and a lot of artists are doing it now because sales in the music industry are utterly abysmal. Metallica is another act they mentioned as using this method for marketing.

There was also a discussion of how musicians are putting out all kinds of other products because no one buys music anymore. They listed at least a dozen artists (including some alcoholics) who have alcoholic beverages attached to their name.
