I thought the interviewer was very good.
Could tell he listened to the album and some songs really stood out.

JBJ also says if this is the last BJ album he's fine with that.

It's funny how he said he's "almost confident to get (his voice) back (for the tour)", yet he just made the album We all know how doctored Jon's vocals are on albums, but it was funny how he indirectly acknowledged that

Are you Rolo from crushmagazine???

Jon talking about Richie, saying the same as always (he didn't show up that day, etc) He says it was disappointing for the members, for the fans, for the people who work in the tour... and that he hasn't talked to him in person since then, only one time on the phone.

They also talked about his fears and Jon said he knows he can't sing like he used to but he is confident to get it back. This is what I understood.
Thanks KaMi. Yes, I'm Rolo from Crushmagazine.

But he also said it wasn't made for the fans and he wants to grow and get new ones. I guess if it doesn't connect with either of the two he'd be done but if it doesn't connect with his current fans he's fine with it. I'm struggling to get if evolving is different then finding sub genres to insert into the music.

Regardless I don't think he admitted to doctoring vocals since the album was recorded a year and a half ago and recording vocal takes isn't nearly the same as singing it live.

Funny how they also played a clip of THINFS at the start, and it was the version with the different "baptised" lyrics too. Wonder what one we will actually get on the album.

The physical stresses have taken toll on his voice and self confidence? It must give a person a lot of self doubt, no matter how much success has happened before, to hear that you can't sing the songs you could before or this is the end because your voice cracks when you have to sing a bit bolder. It's easy for people to criticise and not know what effect this can have on a person psychologically speaking.

As a singer myself, I know what it's like to overcome such criticism and how confidence (or lack of it) affects vocal performance. Stress has no place when singing and it was refreshing to hear that he has had issues with it and is still trying to get back on top of it. Respect to that man - and a great interview!

very nice interview, kudos to the interiewer and to jon..

jon had previously said i still consider richie my friend i ll always do, so i guess he still is diassapointed about his departure and some days he sees the glass half full or half empty regarding if he still likes him as a person..

there were some small parts were some answers seemed insincere, for gods sake jon you ve been a fake blonde for 20 plus years and now you act like you dont give a shit? i know he is quite down to earth but we ll know his hair colour.

plus all that talk about there will never be another one who will sell this much etc sound poor in my ears...there will always be music products and bj were one in 80s for sure, i feel very lucky they survived and thrived but there will always be artists and musicians who will amaze you outhere.

the section about the insecurity of his voice i liked, it was honest, almost confident...

deep down i think jon realises that bj were always about songs and charisma/live chemistry, with richie gone bon jovi will be sth different to say the least,

anyway i truly believe there will be some gems in the new record, what i ve heard so far hasnt yet make me excited but i m sure it will have good moments.

nice to see jon settle and mature using less generic answers. and when he does i realise he does it now in order to avoid the stupid headline that would not do justice to the whole interview.

It's very strange. In the fragments of Labor of Love and Burning Bridges songs, her voice is pretty good. However, the first verses of Knockout is pretty bad. Yes, your voice is damaged, but I think it is not above all the effort in the studio, those first verses of Knockout is a problem of selection of shots and abuse autotune. Already happened something similar with Im With You, live sounded much more natural and better.

Sometimes there is a certain laziness in working some songs to polish them.

Is supposed to be Born Again Tomorrow is the next to go soon. What happened? maybe they record a video about this before?

Born Again Tomorrow was never confirmed to be next. His wording insinuated he's looking forward to us hearing it soon and people ran with it that it was the next single. I'm hoping it'll be the next preview we get.
