Though I absolutely disagree with your point of view on the track, I got a laugh out it. I even found myself singing along in my head when I was reading it!

Wow... They have class. The old guitarist of 30years congratulate the band naming also the new guitarist. The frontman says thank you, looking forward to hear his album, too. The new guitarist run into the original guitarist, they chat and then they make a tweet about it.

the travel safe remark by richie is relevant?? english arent my first language so i wonder...
that made my day too, i hope they work it out and make music together again because bj are jon richie tico and david, especially jon and richie, anyway. some pesimistic part of finds it unnecessary and insincere cause you re 55 and should communicate in person anyway nice gesture i ll try to be positive.
imo jon should move quickly and release a second single sth more unique and not drag thinfs which i like but i think isnt the hit they d hoped for, maybe i m too quick to say it wont have any impact, jon should also pay for a better video that would aim to another younger crowd, green days video for example was unique and fresh imo.

I'm seriously not disagreeing just to be disagreeable, but I doubt it was as awkward as ppl might think. As you said in another post, life goes on. And it's been nearly 3-1/2 years. They all seem to be getting on with their respective plans.

My guess is that the fans are probably having a much harder time getting past all this, and letting it go, than they are. (And, yes, I include myself in that group, so I'm not pointing fingers at anyone!)

I can clearly hear a maracas on the solo and "ohhh"s buried in the mix on the chorus when I tinkered with it on Audacity.
Edit: That maracas sound is most likely a click track.

It's still awkward. Maybe not a bad awkward but still awkward... Richie gets it and knows the deal... Someone needs to play his part and once they met, he realized Phil is a good dude... This is the role of a lifetime but don't forget that Phil has been around for a while now too. There is footage of him, Jon, and Aldo doing Blaze and Blood back in '91...

Something tells me that Phil will be around until the end. Even if Richie returns, Phil will take a rhythm spot even lead here and there... GnR does it that way with Slash and that other dude...

Don't forget that Richie also has an album coming out soon and needs to retain his Jovi fans....

Phil is temporary, it will be some years with BJ, maybe one or two discs, then Richie will return. That's what I feel.

It will be some years, maybe one or two discs, then they call it quits.

Jon has always had a romantic image of the band, and when the time comes to leave, will be a final farewell album with Richie. I find it difficult believe that Guns N Roses to get it, but Bon Jovi "the band of fraternity" don't.
