Right on!!
My optimism runs parallel to you...
As long as the production has a Burning Bridges/THINFS(1st 3 songs) feel to it,
I'll be just fine with this release.

I haven't listened to the song but I read the lyrics and to me it's clearly about Richie. In a good way.

I'm dreading to listen to the song because I LOVE the lyrics, there's anguish, there's sincerity, they are deep enough to mean something without being an obvious effort to sound poetical and profound with an overuse of fancy words and cringeworthy metaphors (I'm looking at you Amen lol), so yeah, that's my kind of lyrics and I already have this picture in my mind... I don't want that image to be ruined by the music :/

Too bad the release date has been pushed back (yesterday I asked at the local CD store and they still have the October date, but they said it can change any day). I'm suddenly very scared when I read so many complains about too much pop rock songs. I'm on the minority since I love their poppier songs A LOT, but I need this album to be grittier and darker and I miss their rock sound

They play a bit of "Living with the Ghost". The song is about Richie.
Anyone knows what begins at 0:35...and ends at 0:55???Reminds me of Livin' On A Prayer a little...

I am a music producer and I hate how the word "production" is bandied around this forum! Can't you choose another term

I'm still holding out to listen to the full album - won't even touch the live tracks until then, and no more songs.

Roll on 4th November.

Burn With Me was a very timely filtration, now we just have to wait for the filtration of the song with Avicci.

Everyone...

We've gotten into a very bad habit of just throwing everything into a single thread. Things like a new song should be getting their own thread and discussion. Does anyone really want to shift through hundreds of pages about an album to find the section where the board discovered a new song to read the initial reactions? The lyric sheets should have gotten their own thread or been posted in the existing album thread, as another example.

We have a whole board to use.. use it. No need to huddle in a corner using one or two threads. It makes it look desolate and unused at a time when it's relatively picking up around here. This isn't Facebook where we just keep commenting over and over on a single post about Bon Jovi about all things Bon Jovi.

As Mods, the tools are wonky for moving such posts into an appropriate existing or new thread, so we are not able to efficiently do this.

I'm really enjoying Born Again Tomorrow, once you get past the first chorus. Turns into a big electric rock song to me anyway. Being kiwi, we get it first hehe
