You are wrong about one thing: When you are at these big venues, you barely hear that he is sounding bad . I went to the last show of the tour in 2015, expecting him to sound bad as usual, as I was following them for years. A few days before we sat with family who were going to the show, and they felt bad listening to them on youtube. However at the show everyone had a great time and were amazed of the good sound. So, as we are not a bunch of idiots, it probably means that on these park shows of 50,000+ people you don't exactly hear his problems like on soundboard or close recordings. Probably not good as it used to be but still super enjoyable for most people.

That's an interesting take. Where the acoustics good? Were your seats on one of the sides or close to the speaker (or somewhere where it could affect what you're hearing)

I only saw them once in a stadium - Vienna 2011. His voice was in good shape at that time, so it's not a fair comparison, but there were a few bum notes here and there and I still noticed them when they happened. Not as much as on YouTube, but they were still audible to me.

Plus, if we're talking the 2015 shows, I remember reading several reviews from the media and a lot of them mentioned his vocals were 'weaker than usual, but the crowd helped him' or something along those lines.

Yeah, I noticed those notes too during the concerts, in 2013 even more than in 2011, but also in 2011 and before they were quite noticeable in songs like These Days, Always, etc. At times even during Who Says or Bad Medicine, just not as bad as nowadays, but he's been flat on a couple of notes in those songs for years now...

I think maybe some people just don't notice those (smaller) mistakes, just like some people can sing in key, and some cannot.

Yeah, I agree with that. Some people choose to ignore certain things, others simply don't see them.

It's not that I don't notice, it's that I don't care. A live show is so much more than just watching Jon sing. It's the band playing my favourite songs of all time in amongst thousands of people who love the music just as much as me. Yes it's a shame Jon can't blow me away with his voice anymore...but like at Slane everything came together to make it a great show anyway. And that was despite the gaping hole of Sambora.

I do wish they'd just get the duds that kill the atmosphere out of the set list. I know it's to work around Jon's voice but I think I'd rather hear a struggling Always than a moderate Because We Can (the studio version I can live with but live...it was shit). But the new songs are good and fit around Jon's voice so here's hoping!

If you listened closely I guess you would have heard him having bad notes, maybe a lot of them. And when I hear the videos now of course I can find these. What I was trying to say is that when you are at this kind of show like we had - which was more of a Hyde Park show - it wasn't significant over there. The sound was good and we were standing just outside of the "Golden Ring" part. About the help from the audience, yes he did it a lot but I don't find it a bad thing.
However, it's clear that at this point Jon understood his boundries and did not perform Always and Bed of roses, as Always was just embarassing the nightsbefore. I guess he is not gonna perform it on the next tour if the situation is the same with his voice.

Completely agree. I actually do like the studio version of BWC quite a bit. The chorus is undeniable. It really only loses me when it gets to the "We caaaaan, We caaaaan" bridges. Drop that or replace it with an actual cool bridge and we're good. That live version just dragged. It was the first time I began thinking, "Well, I guess it's all about the studio albums from this point forward." (TWTWMM was one of the exceptions.)

So far that isn't the case at all with THINFS songs. I've only disliked the Ellen performance of the title track, otherwise I've been happy with it.

The video 2 is not free yet.

And there's shadows about the others videos...Can we speculate?

I think videos 2, 5 and 8 are about making off.

Videos 4, 6 and 10 are interview.

Videos 3 and 9 are music videos.

Just bets.
