This is pretty much spot on. I don't see any emotion in any of those two songs, there's not even real anger in Knockout.
I also don't get where people get the idea that this sounds fresh. I also listen to a lot of contemporary music and in comparison to most of that this sounds like an aged singer who is trying to sound modern by using a faster drumbeat and an overload of synthesizers.
Don't get me wrong - there were some real genuine moments on BB and there might be some on this album, but so far it's just embarassing.
