Good point, the bass is sounding really good, very prominent with some punch.

Just listened to Knockout and it's not nearly as bad as everyone is making it out to be. It's a filler track but not that horrible either.

IMO it's the final version of Take Back The Night and if accept that song, you can equally accept this one too. The worst thing Jon did was release Burning Bridges prior to this and then say something along the lines of this album being so much better... All we are getting is the second half of a double album...

I believe too that there are some better tracks to come...

Ok. I will play a little advocate of devil but....
You all say bad things about Shanks...
But BJ probably worked with one of the best MIX Engineer right now - Michael Brauer. And his job is makeing all pieces to work togheter (how high sound is guitar ecc). And this 6x Grammy winner is best known to work with... Coldplay
He isn't main reason why guitars are so low in mix?

I think I kinda get the song now. It's certainly is missing some crunchy guits, but I really like the bridge, and the chorus is catchy as all hell. The that little bit of guitar in the second verse and those 80s synths leading into the second chorus are really nice to hear as well. It does do something different which I can appreciate, and there is a very slight early-80s pop vibe imo. Would've loved for KO to be a rocker, but this is an interesting alternative.
