I think in the last few years Jons writing style and subject has become much more centred on, and reflective of, his age. The first time I heard walk like a man I thought it sounds like this guy is trying to pass on some fatherly advice here. Then I got that impression again hearing live before you die from the circle.
When WAN came out I remember hearing the fighter and thinking Jons very aware that he's getting older, he seems very reflective of his place in the world and a lot of his writing is now based on the things important to him in the world at this point in his life; his family, the band, the humanitarian work.
None of this is a criticism of course, he really would be pushing it to sing about being in the back seat of your car at 54. When Meatloaf does it now it can be rather cringey...
So I expect the new album to have the tone of someones parents or grandparents giving advice. Not much of a spoiler as we know reunion is on the album already, but just a consideration of how we reached the point we're at with the band.
I think the "live your life" stuff will still be there as always, but perhaps tinged with more sadness and Jon looking back. Less "When the world gets in my face I say, Have a Nice Day!" and more "When the world got in my face, I told it Have a Nice day".
