Hereīs a little Interview with an Austrian newspaper (only in german). I didnīt want to open a new thread for it, so please move it somewhere else if necessary.

http://www.krone.at/musik/bon-jovi-k...w-story-537326

Most of it is the same old, altough a few things were new for me:

About New Yearīs Day:

"That song was already done and had a certain feeling to it. I was sitting there with my acoustic and had the rythm already in my head. It sounded a little bit like Bob Dylan but David and Tico speeded it up. That sounded great and totally changed the direction of the number.
That was very emotional for me cause it totally changed the song. The energy in the Studio was unbelieveable and that song was reborn.
A real co-production."

About touring:
"We rehearsed every day last week (Interview took place in London) to get my voice in shape again.
If I canīt achieve a certain level than we wonīt play (tour). I have my principles and when the day comes and I canīt deliver anymore - Iīll quit. That would be okay for me."

On why Hugh now is an official member:
"I said to him: "You deserve it" Not to be in a band picture for 20 years is long enough. "

About Richie:

He just wasnīt able to show up.

When asked that Richie hinted to come back one day (which I donīt recall)
"That is no issue right now. Heīs on tour somewhere and has his own career. How often can you go to rehab and come back again? Itīs a lot to deal with and Iīve got a job to do. Itīs not that I donīt see a possibility for him to come back but thatīs not even a question right now.
Life goes on for me, David, Tico and everybody who worked on the record. I wish him a nice life"

Better than the previous perfomances,Tico's playing is in great form,Jon is very anxious (he started to sing the entire chorus though...that's a good sign)

This was half a step down with a capo on the 1st fret so technically in standard tuning. Still further down than how it was recorded.

He definitely is focussed but I still maintain he looks pissed off about something.

Interesting stuff, thanks.

He's so much more open about his vocal issues. It's refreshing & for me, makes it a bit more tolerable somehow.

Nope. Same key as in other live performances.

Don't get the love for it, I think Jon sounded awful. Worst live performance (vocal-wise) I've heard of the song. He not (only) sounded raspy, but hoarse (right word?). Also he was flat most of the time, especially in the first verse. Which is strange, since there are much higher notes later in the song which were just fine in comparison

After problems with my pre-ordered version not delivered on time (still not there today!), I cancelled the pre-order and bought my 18 track edition in Media Markt today There's also another Deluxe Edition there, which has 13 tracks (the standard 12 + Touch Of Grey). Very strange...

Probably about being put "on the spot" in a studio with very clear sound of his vocals? Who knows whose idea that was, though I'd think he would've had a veto right, but probably said "ok, let's do it" and now thinks that it wasn't such a good idea after all
