"Tidal said 'We'll make a video for every song on the record'"

I see your point and it could totally go either way, but to me the way that Jon worded that indicates that they were going to do all 12 videos.

Due to the amount of videos that they have done, I would be very surprised if they didn't go all the way.

My only question is, how much are they spending on this promo??? These videos don't come cheap or do they now???

Good question. The budget is probably a fraction of what they used to cost to make. I wonder if they went with cheaper, less experienced directors. If they get a few thousand new paid Tidal members it probably isn't that bad a deal for them.

These videos look quite basic and cheap to me - a couple of actors 'narrating a story' while a band in a room is miming to a song. It seems like they should not cost much, especially since the band shoots like 3 of them in one day or something.

I don't think they haven't done a higher budged video since HAND.

Still think the best songs are TDITT, Ghost, Scars & God Bless.

Ghost in particular is superb. Jon's best lyrics since, It's Hard Letting You Go?

To me Living With The Ghost is the best song on the album, there are 2 parts on it that always get me

The part where he says "Traded nightmares for dreaming
Go tell your shadows that I got out alive"

And the part after the guitar solo with the man who was washing his feet in holy wate.

Even though the album just got released a week ago, I've been listening to these songs since the live bootlegs, soundboard, & leaks were posted over a month ago now now... The best part is, I'm still enjoying it... By this time, with all of the past few release, I'm already bored with them... As a matter of fact, I'm liking it more and more and finding myself even enjoying the songs I wasn't crazy about at first like Come On Up and Bless This Mess... I once considered these songs fillers and now I'm glad they are on the album...

I wonder if songs like Real Love and Blind Love are killer tracks if sang in a higher key with Jon's 80s / 90s voice... I know that goes without saying but with these songs especially, I think we are getting a TLFR version of them... This is what Always and BOR or even the Soul Truth would be in 2016... I think that's why they are boring or skipable to some people...

On the flip side, I love how Jon figured out that he's got a great lower register... I always loved his 'It's only make-believe' and Elvis covers... I've even posted that it would be nice to get an album like that and now songs like Teardrop, Labor Of Love, along with a few others are on the top of my list...
