Concert shots YAY

Jon badly emoting NAY

I've never seen him in any movie but he's terrible at acting yikes

It'd would have been great to have a whole concert video with all kind of shows throughout their career

Richie was a little bit blurred, wasn't he?

I have to agree... this is the general sense of his acting in both movies and videos...

Yeah, agreed.

Some parts, he pulls it off. Others it's embarrassing.

Hey, I like Jon's acting!

Although I have been told I make lots of "pain faces" when I sing (even though I'm not in pain) which makes me wonder if I've been watching Jon too much.

He's good at looking pretty. Terrible at emoting. And excellent at doing what he does best (or did): being a great frontman

That's why I love concert videos so much, it's them.

Rockstars want to be movie stars and movie stars want to be rock stars.

Sadly the transition rarely works.

Jon was really solid in The Leading Man and Homegrown which were in my opinion, quality films.

*drunk ramblings post alert*

Right now I’m feeling again like for the past 10 years. I’m jaded. I usually love reading negative reviews and discussing with fans who see things different, but I’ve been feeling lots of apathy lately. Too many disappointments, this band and I have grown apart too much. I’m not one to look back in anger really, but I’ve been so close to moving on that it’s easier to remember why I fell out of love with this band.

They should have called it quits after the TC/GH tour (how much would have Jon loved that? haha). Roulette, Shot Through The Heart, Tokyo Road, I Believe, Santa Fe!!! I would have felt upset for a while, sure (or not, because I never expected another semi-decent album tbh), but at the end of the day very proud of being part of this, of a band that fought hard to preserve a legacy for generations to come and ended in a high note.

I miss the old band. Not the 80s or 90s one, the one we had 10 years ago. It wasn’t perfect, that’s for sure, but it was the band I fell in love with and I always valued every member. I naively thought this band would never break up. Sigh

I still love THINFS a lot. It even gets better with each listening and I can’t stay away from it for too long. But was it worth it? Double Sigh

*end of drunk ramblings, sorry for any mistakes, not feeling like re-reading*
