There's an awful lot of Richie in that Scars video

Am I the only one here who tears up while listening to Living With The Ghost?

Have the album for a few weeks now. Was reluctant to say much as I usually like anything shiny and new before it starts to wear off.

That isn't happening with THINFS. It's an album I can listen from beginning to end without skipping although I could live without Knockout, Reunion and Come On Up to Our House (they're okay but the weakest songs on the album).

Living With The Ghost, Labour of Love, The Devil's in the Temple, Scars and God Bless This Mess are favourites. Of those, Living With The Ghost is one of the best songs they've ever written. Absolutely stunning song. I also have to say that Rollercoaster is earworm - catchy as f**k.

It's sad the album won't do as well commercially as it should but I'd 1,000,000% rather this than a Crush type album. For my money, this is the best album they've done since These Days and I say that as a fan of Have a Nice Day and Lost Highway (of the post 2000 albums).

Bon Jovi have done everything they need to do commercially. They've sold bucket loads of albums and they've had number 1s all over the place. In fact, most posters have criticized them for being too focused on that aspect. Now they've produced an album to be really proud of. At this stage, that beats record sales hands down every day of the week.

Yes it's a pretty sad song when you read the lyrics with Richie in mind.

I do not understand the 'I wrote each word you gave the toast line', what does it mean? Is it an expression?

For me Jon said in this lyrics that Richie prefer to go to party and drinking than go to Jon and write new stuff for WAN. WAN is record where Richie wasn't had big impact in writing melodies/ lyrics and I think that Jon tell us that it was only Richie decision.

You've misconstrued what he said. He said touring is his least favorite of the process, but once he gets out there he's fine. He's talked about how when a show is going right it's like he's one with the crowd. Would you please listen to the whole story and not the sound bite? The reporting around here is like cable news.

The idea that he said it this time because of his voice....no. He's been saying it for the last decade, it's not right to compare it to his voice troubles as if he suddenly realized he hates touring.

I hope they keep touring. I think Jon's heart is still in it, as Becky touched upon, people focus too much on the soundbite. I think Jon still really wants to do well, it's not JUST a cash-grab.

I enjoyed the concerts I went to on the Asia tour, especially Singapore F1. Loved the band's energy in the TIDAL stream show even if Jon's voice wasn't great. I'd love to see them live in the future and am willing to set apart some extra cash for it.

That being said - I haven't been to any shows prior to the BWC tour, can understand why those saw the band in their heyday or even 6 years ago say things aren't as good anymore.

As for the record: I still love all the tracks bar Reunion, Goodnight NY (cringefest with the most annoying chorus of the entire catalogue) and Color Me In.
