Like the video to God Bless This Mess. I think the song would have been a good album opener, especially if they had thrown in a decent guitar solo.

I do like the relaxed approach to the vocal delivery, it works as song 10. I think a more aggressive delivery would have made this song a great start to the album though.

It's a 10 minutes plus video of Living with the Ghost and Reunion, based in Camden. LWTG is just Jon with images of Camden in B&W (i guess portraying the city how it was in the past) and Reunion is a Band video in colour (showing the progress the City made).

I found both videos here.

... Can I just say I'm dissapointed with LWTG or it's just my fault because my expectations were too high?

I'm right there with you and I'm not entirely if this is the reason but..

...it's the same reason I was let down with the Superman Tonight video. It's changing the meaning of the song to fit a purpose. And the purpose is so good and positive and I take no issues with Jon's charitable side but it makes the videos very one sided. Living with the ghost and Devils in the Temple are two songs on the album that really hooked me in and showed me they can sound like a band with an edge and it really bums me out to not see the band rocking out in those. What Jon does to help people is great regardless of why he does it but sometimes when he uses the band to do it I get very meh on the end product. That might make me a horrible person.

Nah, you're not horrible. It's just the video and the lyrics don't match at all for whatever reason, be it helping the community or it 's easier to get across (two birds killed with one stone). I discovered yesterday here on this very forum (!) what Make a memory is really about and I could never ever decipher it from the video!

I have the feeling that this great potential for LWTG is lost but hey, Jon couldn't be more straightforward anyway with all this ambiguity going on in the interviews etc :3

I think they are just disappointing

I hate it when social consciousness is forced into those videos whereas the original songs didn't have the intention whatsoever. We had that issue with Superman Tonight and now with those two. I really like these songs, but the videos want to shove the songs down our throats as something they just aren't and that irritates a lot of fans, including me.
