Bon Jovi Albums Ranked

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/bon-jovi-keep-the-faith/

''14. 'This House is Not For Sale' (2016)
On their first new album without guitarist Richie Sambora, the hope was that Bon Jovi would say something new, take a musical U-turn or at the very least, shred away the layers of overwrought production that has hindered much of their post-2002 work. Sadly, 'This House is Not for Sale' merely offers a modified version of that same underachieving group.''

These days at no 1? When that album was released every rock mag in UK gave it no more than 2/10 - I think Kerrang gave its best mark 4/5 - but all the others panned it.
At the time the band were much bigger in UK than USA - and its was the first album since SWW that didnt enter in top 10 in USA (i think.)

Maybe, but it isn't 1995 anymore and if your overview of reviews is true, time has clearly been kind to the article in terms of how critics view it. That said, Q Magazine (a UK publication and hardly a Bon Jovi champion) placed it as the second best album of the year. Of course, this list was also not based on contemporary critiques and/or sales alone.

There wasn't going to be any Bon Jovi album getting sweeping good reviews in 1995. Heck, that wasn't even happening in the 80s. Truth is if either of SWW, NJ, KTF of TD is placed no 1 on any list, it's hardly outrageous.

These Days is Bon Jovi's greatest work and then there's KTF, NJ and SWW

I remember buying TD on day of release and after Hey God kicked it off I was left feeling really disappointed by the rest of it so I can see why a reviewer who hears it once or twice would not like it.
Also TD sounded like nothing else released by a Rock band in 95.

It took me a long time to come around on TD. I listened to it a couple of times and I liked individual songs; but all of them, one right after the other, was depressing. Then, during my brother's last weeks, I made lots of trips home, 2-1/2 hours each way. It became a habit to take a different album on each trip and play it on repeat to really get to know it. That's when I came to appreciate each album, including TD, for what it was, without comparing it to the others. Now, if I were forced to rank them, TD would be among my favorites.

It's quite fun going through the first few pages of glowing praise to THINFS.

Some music just ages better than other.

These Days is the best Bon Jovi album by far.
Each time I listen to it,I discover new things.
Its a wonderful album ,with the band at its peak as musicians and songwriters.
I have always said that the band reached its top at Jons scream in Something to Believe In.
Then,they only could go downhill

Q magazine ranked it the second best album of 1995.
