The writing is really good and Jon seems to have got his muse back. The album plays well and doesn't have one true skippable track.

The one big absence is proper guitar solos. Devils In The Temple is screaming out for an outro solo but it just ends abruptly. It's still a good song but I feel on some of the tracks they had another gear that they didn't go into.

Hopefully I can give a more fleshed out opinion after a few more listens.
Devils is just awesome for me, yes, it has some things that could be improved, but damn, this song gives me what I've always wanted to Bon Jovi, more grip, consistency, with some anger, it's a pretty original song in his repertoire.

I not even need the guitar pyrotechnics, just that the song feels is strong in attitude and raw sounds.

When we talk about a real rock album, I don't mean the albums of the past as SWW, I mean things like Devils. Jon could do it.

I'm still digging the album....IMO, it's more of a sequel to Destination Anywhere than any other Bon Jovi album...

Jon's deeper tone mixed with different sounds throughout the production...

My Highlights of The THINFS Album:

1 THINFS
2 Knockout
3 Labor Of Love
4 Born Again Tomorrow
5 Devils In The Temple
6 Scars
7 God Bless

My Highlights of the BB Album:

1 A Teardrop To The Sea
2 We Don't Run
3 Sunday Morning
4 Who Would You Die For
5 Fingerprints
6 In Your Man
7 Take Back The Night

If I make the best of THINFS + BB = a very solid album.

Waiting for Touch of Grey.

I thought about this as far as whether I would regard the two albums as a staggered double album.

I think in the scheme of album releases, Burning Bridges is a follow-up / update to the box set without fillers or incomplete songs. It's a quality release with great songs, some arguably better than what's on THINFS . In the scheme of the catalog, Jon is going to see THINFS as the actial follow up to WAN . So.... box set supplement, it is

I love WAN album. But it's more like couple of songs with different directions. They don't make that WAN sound like typical album for me. I really love probably 8 songs from this album.

From This House i really love 6 songs and rest are good or just ok but... This "ok" songs like Come Up TOHouse or Scars makes this CD sound like a album. Not only cd with some songs. It has story, meaning ecc.

If i will mix songs from BB and This House I will have great cd with 12 fantastic songs but they won't be album anymore like This House. For me this house album has beggining, story, changing atmosphere, and has end with Come Up. Half of BB has greater songs than Scars/ComeUp but Come Up make that this CD has great end.

I don't know how to describe it but I think that New Jersey, TDays, DAnywhere has songs which can be treater like fillers (Ride Cowboy, Love For Sale, Diamond Ring, Damned, Little City) but they make that thas 12 songs make it sound like a ALBUM. This House also has them. They are maybe little fillers, can be little boring ecc but it will be one of this album which I will play from start to finish or even with bonuses.

Thats all
