I dig it too. Listening to it right now actually.

To answer your question on surgeries, yes, he had knee surgery right around the time Crush was out, after that, (someone correct me here but I think on the Circle tour in Dublin) he had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. And finally, post the WAN tour, he had surgery for plantar fasciitis that he's been suffering with for years so that was the reason he wasn't moving much on stage for that tour. On the voice, Jon, is aware is voice is not up to where it needs to be but we haven't heard him refer to any specific reason.

Thank you!! I've been trying to figure out a way to say exactly what you did and you did it so much better ha ha!! I think the lack of harmonies is on purpose to bring out the starkness and show the vulnerability!!

I been following JT quite a while and without stepping on your toes you seem to love everything the band/jon does. Haven't ready any major criticism from you ever. Don't misunderstand me it's ok but it is quite obvious.

Ty - but lots of sportsmen have had those (minor) surgeries and they still did their sports. JBJ is not supposed to run a marathon on stage. But a lil movement should be expected. I hardly saw him move on the streams I was watching lateley. And regarding his voice he simply is in denial. Joe Elliott from Leppard had some problems but he took vocal lessons and regained his upper register. IMO Jon is just too lazy to try that. We will see on tour but I fear the worst. The main reason for not doing a big tour is the voice issue this time. And in Europe they won t fill any stadiums anymore. Each tour had a smaller audience (despite RD wants to tell me it was different- not a single stadium was sold out on the WAN tour in Europe - some stadiums were only 1/3 full like Glasgow - go on youtube and it is clear to see. Not even Munich was sold out anymore. About 20.000 less than before. Says a lot doesn't it? Satisfied customers usually return. But the dropping quality in the studio and live shows and Richie's absence (don't underestimate that - even though I think RS is a wreck at the moment)are reason enough...And those ticket prices won't help either.

Oh no problem. My personality isn't one to be negative but that doesn't mean I love everything the band puts out...there are MANY songs I'd just as soon never hear again and can name a handful from every album starting back to the first one. As you see, I'm an old fan, saw them in 1985 opening for Ratt. I'm odd in the fact, I actually like a lot of the newer stuff. My favorite record is TD and don't hold SWW/NJ as high as most here do. Also, been to a ton of dud shows over the course of my 100+ times that I've seen them. But, for whatever the reason, they are a band I gravitate back to. My musical taste range from some you've mentioned like Alter Bridge and Queensryche. I thought Geoff Tate had one of the best voices out there.

So, no need to apologize, I get the "you love everything" a lot.

Now, back to to the topic at hand.

Ok SO IMHO Queensryche and BJ were untouchable back in their day. Pretty sad to see their decline for me as these were heroes of my youth. Gonna play THINFS cleaning my car now - maybe I will be a fan then - but don't hold your breath

Now. You're just being a Troll... you posted here and got a little attention, mainly through mislead facts and admittedly living in the past... I've been nice to you till this point... Don't make me Hulk out on you brother...
If you've been following this board like you say you've been , you'd realize that the Poll clearly has Rollercoaster as one of the favorites off the album so stop tearing down everyone's posts now... You've Been Warned
