This House Is Not For Sale (2016) - Post Album Release Discussion

I put on my Richie Goggles and it's still a reach to make the song about him,IMHO. Revolution? Protest signs? Talking heads on the TV? Politics and bad religion?

I think it's pretty clear that it's about the state of the world or at the U.S.

Savvi is right. If this song had been another album, the general population around here would have been infuriated by it. On this album it's a throw away bonus track so it's getting a pass.

What would the reaction be here, if we got another WAN 2.0 next album? I would be angry! I am crossing my fingers Jon listens to the (so far good) reaction to THINFS Album, so that it influences him when making the next album.

P.S. IF we ever did get another WAN 2.O, between now and the end, I still listen to it! And support the Band to the end.

It's one of those so so songs... The more you listen to it, the more you like it

I'm not sure. This sounds great, it's simple, pretty, good singing, this would be high on all this pop-rock junk WAN. It reminds me of songs like Breathe, Lucky or World (sambora song), that kind of pop songs well made that no longer do because of trends abuse, and current technology with overloaded engineering.

Its a nice enough song for a bonus track, but not good enough for the main album. Like the B sides we used to get.

Thanks newikov. Surprisingly i kinda like it. The voice sounds fresher than on other songs. it is decent, not a light pop song in my opinion and the lyrics are pretty ok. I thought it was about his daughter.
Is it the upload or does it sound not that Shanks-polished? Almost seems that it is from another session without Shanks with a Jon with a better voice. It sounds different. Way better than Rollercoaster, BAT and other songs on the album. As usual in Joviland the Bonustracks are better than the songs on the actual album. Still have a soft spot for "We Can dance" - loved that years ago. And AALY made the record? WTF?

As I wrote - there are lots of B-Sides of Jovi singles that are better than the album songs. "Walk like a Man", "We Can Dance", "Edge of a broken heart" the list goes on....

There is. This ain't one of them, but it's better than something like Burn with me that cropped up on yt.

Gone are the hopes that TOG is an old school rocker - but I can live with it with this song.....The next album will be a "big rock record" with RS lol.
They should have continued with those "Queen-" like backing vocals at the end. The song finishes too soon.
Just knowing the title I thought at first it was about Jon's new hairtstyle
