Jon was answering some tweets on iheartradio up to a few moments ago. One of the answers was on Touch of Grey.

It should be different than it was in 1985 or even '95. No one should live in the past. I see a future in the future -jbj #iHeartBonJovi

iHeartRadio added,

@iHeartRadio @BonJovi Some people complain that your music is different than the 1985-95 era. What would you say to them? #iHeartBonJovi!

What Jon said above is right, if critics or fans can't accept Jon is middle aged and isn't going to perform like he did during the 1985-1995 period when musically and vocally he was different so be it. Good on Jon for sticking to his principles. Even if some fans continue to leave him because they refuse to accept reality Jon is ( nearly) 55 not in his 20's or 30's anymore.

Therefore he is going to be different musically and vocally, as he gets older, compared to the past. Accept it or listen to the 1985-1995 period.

Could "Living with the Ghost": Also be about his past musically? Yes it's there, but Jon won't let the past define me. And yes, it's also about Richie Sambora's abscence as well.

Bruce is 67 and sweeping the floor with JBJ. Same passion, same power, Same voice - even more powerful than in his prime days. 4hr shows different setlists. each night It can be done. I don't expoect evryone to be Bruce but what happened to JBJ is just sad. As Rolo said: Time is an wasy excuse.

You aren't watching a man who is bored and is putting out minimal output on that stage. It's obvious to most all of us he is putting up a battle.

You are pretty much doing the equivalent of putting down a man who has been wheelchair ridden and is fighting to walk again for not dancing around. You don't have any idea as to what or why Jon is in his current condition, but it is his reality. You can prattle on about Steven Tyler or whoever else while disregarding the fact that Jon isn't any of those people. You don't have to like his current condition, but you should at least have enough ability to perceive the fact he's doing the best he can today. Is it a shame? Yes. Is it pitiful? No.

I'm a big KISS fan. You hear people just like you bagging on Paul Stanley... making fun of his voice and physical condition. Then you go back and watch any KISS performance from the 1980s and all you'll see is a man who gave his all every night, abusing his body and voice for your entertainment. Jon wasn't any different...except Paul was actually able to keep that up longer than Jon could. Mourn the loss of what you loved, but at least respect the dedication to doing the best they can with what they have.
Don't overdramatize plz. JBJ wasn't on a wheelchair nor had he any major illnesses as far as I know (Thank God!). Again: Look at Bruce and let time be no excuse. If you lose your passion or ability give it a rest and don't destroy your legacy

I am a huge Kissfan myself and I know what you mean. Pauls voice is pretty shot - but he is making up for it with his stage show. Still delivering the goods. And the guy is 64! And his costumes are a harder burden as well.

I hear you - but in JBJ's case he is on the edge to lose his dignity and doing more harm to his legacy than he already did. They were untouchable until 1995 maybe even 2001. Why riding this dead horse to the ground? He doesn t need the money I guess. And if it is just for vanity it is doing him more harm than use.

Tidal sucks. I still can't see Labor of Love. They have ignored my messages even though they promised to take a look.

Whatever. **** them. I want the Rollercoaster video, does anybody know if it'll be next?
