There is pretty much zero precedent for a rock band of their age to have a hit song. Especially, one that never had the critical/media backing. The closest example would be Aerosmith with I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, but even so, Tyler was a few years younger than Jon, did not look gray and miserable and, most importantly, the song was a written by a hitmaker Dianna Warren with Celine Dion in mind, for a massive blockbuster movie. Not a third single of a commercially underwhelming album.
No matter what they do, they will NEVER have another hit song. At best what they could hope for is a moderately successful lead single (ala Memory), but at this point I'd say even that is unlikely.

It's very possible that you're right, but even so, if I would have to choose a single from the whole album, it would be Born Again Tomorrow. The rest will simply not work on the radio. You can do the test with your friends and family, Born Again Tomorrow stands out above the rest.
