A Blank CD has more staying power than The Circle.

Totally agree. I love This House. I listen to it frequently. I tried listening to The Circle and WAN a few weeks ago and a song would come on and my reaction was to hit the skip button on the majority of them.

And see - I disagree completely. I loved The Circle when it first came out and I still do. Some of it has to do with memories - which all music seems to be attached to. That was the album that got a bunch of us from the US and Europe and Canada to get in a van and follow the band all over Europe. And boy am I glad I did considering the setlists we got. Also considering the state of Jon's voice now - that might have been the last of his good voice. So there are lots of great memories wrapped up in The Circle and when I play it - they are all still there.

I completely agree! Meeting up with all of you in Dusseldorf and Mannheim truly made this tour a lot more special!

And I still like the Circle a lot, it really all boils down to the memories we've attached to the time frame the band put out certain songs I guess. WAN on the other hand, has no staying power whatsoever. I tried to listen to it a few days ago and pretty much hated all of it - except for the bonus tracks and they were all Jon or Richie solo efforts.

I can still listen to songs off the circle, like Thorn in my side and Love's the onle rule.

I haven't listened to anything off of what about now since the month the album came out. I don't even think I could name what songs are on that album.

Rollercoaster for whatever reason is always on the radio where I live, so I hear it quite often. But other than that, I havent heard the album since the first month of release either.

Oddly I much prefer WAN to The Circle - once you take out all the shit like amen, army of one, not running, the fighter, old habits, drop Richie's song and add into the echo and burn with me.

The circle bar a handful of songs didn't do much for me. When good it's good and when dreadful it's dreadful much like WAN in a way.
Just a very inconsistent time in jovi's career really

I also really like (parts of) The Circle. There's a few tracks I'll skip. But it's still got some great songs.

What's it with the hate for The Circle? Most organic band-style album they've done with Shanks.
