I told him I realized that but that this one was being released today and was publicized as being available at FYE. He stomped over to his computer and started punching keys. I could tell exactly when it told him that they did in fact have THIS single, because his eyebrows rose into his hairline. LOL Sometimes it's so nice to be right. I didn't say "I told you so" or anything. I just thanked him ever so sweetly as he rang up my purchase. I got no reply. Boo hoo.

The moral of the story is, if you go to or call FYE and are told that they don't have the single, press them on it.

Is there any mention of it being a single edit?

Nope... No mention, though I'm pretty sure it's a single edit.

It's a quality song. It's upbeat and positive - I like it and think it will do well on the charts so long as it is not thrashed for months beforehand on radio stations around the world so when it is released for the charts and on video people aren't already over it!

Only one criticism of the song - Richie - where the hell are you when JBJ screams out "Guitar!"

It's a cool riff, like the intro. But where's the big solos man?! Hopefully they're on the album!

I like the song. Sure it might not be the greatest, but I've lowered my expectations enough

I've decided any material has to be better than TLFR or LH.

Yesterday this came through from John Shanks on Twitter:

"can someone say time for a solo"

And hour later he posted this:

"ya guitar solo...kids and yes its for radio!!! silly rabbits"

Later posts made it look like this must relate to something he's working on with Miley Cyrus, but for awhile there I thought maybe they were gonna fill in the blank after Jon shouts "Guitar"!

Oh I wish! It doesnt seem to make too much sense relating a guitar solo and Miley Cyrus though does it? So hopefully it could be Jovi he's talking about! PLEASE!

Screw Miley freaking Cyrus, her fans probably don't even know what a guitar solo is! :

What exactly makes you think that, other than blind hope?

Radio edits are done to make songs more friendly to the wider audience. This includes things like shortening the song by cutting out 'excess' parts, or perhaps a remix to make it more appeasing to the double-digit IQ masses. Look at how Dry County was edited for radio as a good example.

Now, work along with me here, it isn't too hard: What would be the logic in removing the guitar solo, only to keep the empty space where it was supposed to be (not to mention the embarassing "guitaw!" call before it). How exactly is that a good idea for a radio edit? You're not shortening the song at all; all you're doing is making it more boring. And if they really did go to the trouble of removing the guitar solo for no apparent reason, why not edit out the goddamn "guitaw!" call as well?

I'll tell you why: because it's not a ****ing radio edit, and anyone who stops and listen to the song honestly can tell that. Just admit that your band put out a lameass single and let's call it a scotch and a good day.

Calmn down. You act like I just killed one of your family members or something. I'm not saying there's a guitar solo in there or not, I just think Richies guitar part during that part of the particular song was cut off a little. Radio edits are a very common thing nowadays.
