Radio edits have always been a very common thing, but radio edits have never been about taking out stuff like guitar solo's. Shortening them, yes. Taking them out, no.

From the back of the jewel case for the single:

Written by JBJ & RS
Produced by John Shanks/Co-Produced by JBJ & RS
Engineered by Jeff Rothschild
Additional Engineers: Mike Rew, Obie O'Brien & Alex Gibson
Pro Tools Editing: Lars Fox
Recorded at Sanctuary Studios, NJ and Henson Recording Studios, CA
Mixed by Bob Clearmountain
Mixed at Mix This! Studios
Assisted by Brandon Duncan
Mastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound, NYC

Had we heard that Bob Clearmountain was involved with this single/album? If we did, I missed it.

That's defientely new info to me, abotu Bob Clearmountain. It gives me a little bit of hope.

And I agree with the solo talk. If it IS the single edit, we're looking at maybe an extra chorus. All hope is lost for an added solo, there's no way.

What was the last album Clearmountain had a hand in? Keep The Faith? I remember the Clearmountain mix of I Believe, but not much after that.

I was under the impression it hasn't been since then but apparantly he mixed These Days, Crush, and Bounce too. So there goes THAT theory, hahahaha.

This issue is causing much controversy for all fans, and the band must know it, because they have not confirmed that this is a radio edit?

Perhaps it is because it is not, and the album version is equal, I hope the album version includes a nice guitar solo, not this shit.

GUITAR!! (Where the hell is Richie?)

Another MLB video woo Apparently this was aired last night during the Yankees game or something.

That's a fat load of promotion for the single...the rest of the band isn't in the video =(
Am I the only one hearing a talkbox starting the solo (Realy short) ??????????????????

Hmmm.

About an hour after the second tweet above, Shanks posted this:

"its all about the song"

After that is when it went into the Miley stuff. But now he's posted this:

"richie has a lot of great solos on this new bonjovi record"

And I now think the Miley stuff was because her new CD was being released today. Like I said -- hmmm. Reading tea leaves is easier than figuring out what people are saying on Twitter!
