Radio edits are done to make songs more friendly to the wider audience. This includes things like shortening the song by cutting out 'excess' parts, or perhaps a remix to make it more appeasing to the double-digit IQ masses. Look at how Dry County was edited for radio as a good example.

Now, work along with me here, it isn't too hard: What would be the logic in removing the guitar solo, only to keep the empty space where it was supposed to be (not to mention the embarassing "guitaw!" call before it). How exactly is that a good idea for a radio edit? You're not shortening the song at all; all you're doing is making it more boring. And if they really did go to the trouble of removing the guitar solo for no apparent reason, why not edit out the goddamn "guitaw!" call as well?

I'll tell you why: because it's not a ****ing radio edit, and anyone who stops and listen to the song honestly can tell that. Just admit that your band put out a lameass single and let's call it a scotch and a good day.

Calmn down. You act like I just killed one of your family members or something. I'm not saying there's a guitar solo in there or not, I just think Richies guitar part during that part of the particular song was cut off a little. Radio edits are a very common thing nowadays.
