But I thought Jon said there would be images of the four members on it... we'll see. I was never quite fond of band pictures on album covers.
It does beat "The Circle" album cover, which made the four of them, look as if they were walking out of a sewer pipe, imho.

Also, this new album cover, does have some color it. That's a nice change.

It reminds me of Green Day's "Are We The Waiting" the way it is now, another song I like (though not as much as Army Of One.)

I haven't heard it at a concert yet though so you have me at the advantage, but picturing it in a full outdoor stadium with the sun going down and those drums beating out...it could be a moment.

I Believe and Army of One may have similar themes but they are at different ends of the scale in terms of songwriting quality. Army has some of the most blatant, simplistic lyrics to come out of the band. I don't mind the drum beat, the actual music and arrangement is ok but those lyrics...

"Never give up
Never
Never give up
Never let up
Ever
Never give in"

Wow.

I don't see the need for a chord change for the sake of it....it's musical tension. And the subtle changes in the chorus also work for me. Any more complex and it would take away from the feeling of a 'march' that we hear through this song, which is what the band wanted to accentuate IMHO...
When you get the idea of a soldier marching through the desert or anywhere else for that matter, you get the idea of simple, rhythmical constant motion which has been successfully transferred to the song.

The reason it looks like Army Of One isn't liked on here is because 99% of the people who are saying it's bad haven't shut up about it. It's the same people moaning about it every single time the album is mentioned or it's been played live.

I think more people like it. I have my own 'fan-page' and when I asked what song they thought was best from the new album so far, the majority of them said 'Army of one.'

Yeah, the chorus lyrics are pretty naff but so are a lot of Bon Jovi lyrics. 'Think about it, wouldn't that be cool if loves the only rule?' .. 'Shake your money-maker, smoke it if you got it.' .. 'Insane freak train.'

Sure, lyrics a lot of the time do make songs, but not all of the time! I think Army Of One is a very very impressive song and I am really looking forward to hearing the studio version and hopefully hearing it live.

I see Army of One just like I Could Make a Living Out of Loving You - great music and beat, but lame lyrics.

It's not the fact that the lyrics are naff, or cliched, or contrived etc. it's just that they're so mindnumbingly lazy and boring. 'Very, very impressive song', come on now.

The one song I like from this album so far is 'Army Of One'. Sometimes lyrics can take a back seat if the music is good enough, and I believe it is here.
