comepletely digging the 90sec clips. I try not to get too deep with it and disect every piece of it, most people need to quit looking for the old bon jovi, and either accept the new or move on...the only song im extremely shocked about the feedback army of 1 is getting on here...I just cant get into it, not live or on the clip. It just has no substance to it to me, I cant really have fun listening to it, I dont find it moving, or catchy. Someone help? Maybe im missing the point with this one?

Its a bad sign when I find a 1.30 min snippet boring. Water, Room and Echo sound decent enough IMO

Great to hear snippets.
My review for what I heard so far (I listen 7 from 12)

I'm With You - Jon sound very young. I like production on it. It's look very catchy. Secont part of chorus is F**kin amazing!

That's What The Water Made Me - I like it more than live. It has something. Speed but with some kind of nostalgia. I like how Jon sing on it. Very D.Bowie kind of song.

Left Of Me - I think it's my favourite one. Very nostalgit but in optimistic way. Guitar is little country and it sound fresh. I loved Two Story Town and it's make me in the same feeling.

Army Of One - I want to hear it loud in my room. I like production.

The Fighter - Storytelling song. I like guitar. It will be nice to hear in frozzy evenings.

+BWC / WAB

I like what I heard so far. I can wait with high hope that this will be another great record.

I'm really liking these.

Love the mandolin in What's Left of Me, that's a really nice touch, adds quite a bit to the second chorus in particular. I'm loving all of the songs we haven't heard before this. Thick as Thieves has the potential to be a great ballad if the review that said it builds up even more with some great lead work from Richie is to be believed. One major plus for me is that the strings on this album actually sound real. They were so obviously synth on The Circle, just listen to Live Before You Die, the strings on that sound absolutely terrible. There's some really nice string sections on this as far as I can tell, I always liked the strings on a few songs on Bounce (especially The Distance) so I'm pleased about that.

Personal grievances out the way first -

1. Its most certainly not "a big rock record". In fact its not rock at all. Its pop with a country twang for the most part.

2. Feels like a very lazy album, they've taken sounds from Lost Highway, merged them with The Circle and made What About Now, you can't call it evolution its a cop out. Peppered with poorly written lyrics and melodies lifted off the last two albums. E.g I'm With You has some guitar work that sounds exactly like a song off The Circle.

3. Screams of being an excuse to get back on the road and make money as opposed to a record that comes from a genuine place of band creativity. Its corporate pop rock through and through.

Despite this for the most part I like the sound of it, there are 8 songs on the album I know for a fact I will give a decent amount of listening to. No doubt there will be a grower or two also.

All in i'm still looking forward to the release, its always going to be a disappointment when your favourite rock band release a pop/country infused album but it is what it is and with all the brilliant material this band have produced I can roll with the punches and accept this album and enjoy it for what it is i'm sure.

I have to say that I'm very impressed with what I've heard so far. The production to me actually sounds very good - you can hear Dave in the mix and Tico's drums really stand out well. Jon is sounding excellent and there's some nice harmonies with Richie. I'm really liking the album lyrically as well - it's cliched in parts but it really sounds as though they/Jon has something to write about. I feel there were parts of The Circle which were perhaps forced - I'm not hearing that so far with What About Now. There are a lot of big sounds as well as some really nice acoustic moments and to me it's sounding like a complete album. Well done boys.

I knew they would ruin I'm With You Really great live, but that robotic voice distortion is disgusting and not needed.

I like the sound of Beautiful World. Amen I actually like the song, just I don't have a great desire to hear it live, along with the other super slow songs (of which there are too many, bonus or not, Fighter & Not Running also leave me cold.).

Water sounds ok, although not sure about the extended guitar note during the chorus, its a bit distracting being so high in the mix, but I guess I gives Bandiera a note to play live.

More terrible vocal production on Whats Left Of Me, the harmonies all the way through the album sound so fake and robotic. Knew there would be some twangy nonsense in there too, but again I like the song itself live.

Conversely, what they have done suits Army Of One- the Never Gives Up needs to sound like an army of people is singing it and that one does the trick. Room At The End Of The World sounds like it could be a good un.
