Def Leppard and Motley Crue both play with backing tracks, going from vocals to full instrumental parts. It's nothing to do with "really good live bands". Do you think you're just hearing 5 people play on the album as well?

That's what baffles me a lot. I love Def Leppard and I do think they sound amazing. They manage to have a sound engineer which can really make the setting work for them. Burry the difficult parts into loud guitars etc.

I just can't work out if they use backing tracks for backing vocals or not. Their vocals sounds really perfect. And they like to mention it in every interview that it really is just them live. I'd understand if they used a backing track. But I don't think they'd put so much stress on not using it when they were using it. I'd expect them to shut up about it like Bon Jovi do.
On the other hand, there obviously are many samples programmed or Rick's drumkit. There's a special setting for almost every song. They don't talk about THAT when it's obvious you need some tricks when your drummer has only one arm and your music relies on many sounds and drum patterns.

It might have been a direct reaction to how much the Bounce tour relied on sampled guitar parts. Truthfully I wish David had a bigger role that tour with some dirty distorted organ tones to fill out the sound instead of being tied to the click/grid.
Agree re David.

The extra parts? Lots of unnecessary bits and bobs that could have and should have been simplified or played by the original band. Just look at Hook me Up live for example...Richie could have done both parts easily, but they preferred samples. Musically, it’s nothing Richie and David (+ Jon) couldn’t have sorted out. I think it’s down to laziness.

Oof, that's a huge drop. I knew it would be out the top 20, but that's a surprise

Europe the band.
The same 5 guys since 1984 on stage (except Kee Marcello years) and they sound today better than ever.

Agreed. Even in Hook Me Up's intro they ADDED a guitar part to be sampled that wasn't even on the album track. Real head scratcher.

#19 Poland (first week)

It's not so easy to find charts of other countries.

This is interesting, regardless of the number of copies sold, the positions do not vary much, they are other times, we are not in 2009, but in 2020, so in reality the new album is behaving very well internationally. Only in the USA is it being a disappointment, and it is for the simple fact that the copies for the shows are no longer added. So here is the reality of the band, in the USA albums do not sell so well.

Jon said something about releasing a deluxe edition at Christmas, right? Maybe they will release Beautiful Drug as a single and broadcast that show they recorded, I hope that deluxe edition includes more bonus tracks. Special editions sell very well at Christmas.
