^^^Good ad.

I'm really hoping for some debates between the two. IIRC, it was when he was talking "off the cuff" that BHO uttered this little gem: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” - BHO talking about his new mandatory voluteer programs.

I can't wait to hear what else slips out of BHO's mouth that's unplanned.

So rather than hope that your candidate has a strong message to deliver - you are simply hoping that his opponent will self destruct.

It seems to me that is exactly what is wrong with all politics these days

Bah, I don't think either of them are capable of having a strong message.
Politicians just suck. I always feel depressed when the presidential election comes around because it seems that we never have a decent candidate.

I hope lesser-evil McCain wipes the floor with that traitor's butt. I ALSO hope BHO self-destructs. Something akin to Ashley Simpson's lip-synching incident would be nice. Seeing him run off stage in embarrassment would make me giggle. Honestly I don't care HOW McCain does it, just that BHO does not get his desired chance to destroy my country.

My real hope is that the entire country writes in Fred Thompson, but I'll settle for BHO going down in flames any day.

Adrian

from an objective observers viewpoint the modus operandi of american politics really seems to be more about making your opponent look bad than making yourself look good. the amount of shit your politicians pull that would get them kicked out of office or at least derided en masse.

it's like that token friend that tries to make the other guys in the group look bad or embarass them in front of girls to make themselves look good by proxy.

Indeed Jim. Though we seem to be heading towards a similar MO over here. And I don't understand it; we all can see the purpose of that. As we can all see how stupid it makes the politicians look

i dunno british politics is still all very above the belt in it's nature.

the tories ran an ad with tony blair with devil like eyes back in the 90s and they got seriously hammered for it in the media. i think they were forced to remove them too.

Over here = The Netherlands
Last round of elections contained some serious shit dropping on each other. Or more like: emphasizing the other one's weak points, statements and stupid moves from the past rather than stand for your own party's agenda and stuff.
