If found to have committed treason of that magnitude, I suspect that yes, people would've been hung for treason. Either way, I updated my post to reflect the more likely behavior.

nope. "your folk" includes people who share your views and character, not DNA.

I know this has been asked many times before, but I don't think you actually have ever answered this (at least not that I remember or was convinced that something constituted an answer), but what exactly about obama and mccain violates the constitution in your opinion? (you have made this argument about mccain before and called him a traitor)

True. True. What a better place this world would be for us and our children if there were real consequences to our actions .....

I bet we'd all sleep better at nights....

You wouldn't have to wait for actions, ideals would be enough to turn any alienated mind's sorry life into a nightmare. All in the name of Liberty, of course.

And again, I'm SO incredibly racist...you know, I've got this picture this picture of me in a bedsheet and pointed hat that will just make your point for you. Hang on a tick and let me find it.

I've answered this many times. McCain most blatantly violated the Constitution with the McCain Feingold bill. In its original incarnation, it prohibited citizens from voicing their support for candidates through print something like 3 months before the election, a CLEAR violation of the first amendment. It took a Supreme Court decision to restore this basic right.

BHO has a laundry list of Constitution-violating proposals in front of him. His vague insinuations about restarting the draft, gun bans, massive and massively unconstitutional spending. He wants to crap all over our highest law.

Ponrauil and I got to discussing this last month, and if it's not treason, it's real close and much more of a crime than sedition.

Edit:Ponrauil:Ideals expressed in action. Anyone can and could hold any belief they want. It's when they started forcing them on other people that those people started doing rash things.

And with that, I'm off to bed. I've got a busy day tomorrow.

Liberty and Justice!

You know where I come from, people were hung for "treason" just 63 years ago. Literally. Wake up one morning and the trees lining the street in front of the house sported freshly hung corpses of people supporting the wrong party. I guess the US has been rather progressive after all....

Come again?

Never mind really. If that is all you got, I am not interested as it is neither relevant nor accurate. Hold your effort.
Thanks for trying though.

But that's the thing, isn't it? 200 years ago... Do you know of any country that still measures all it does against what it did that long ago? Things change. I actually heard somewhere on the news that the 'founding fathers' might have a shock to see how complacent their land has become: the revolution that has become a fixed, unmovable thing.

Anyway, congratulations America. I don't know about four years from now but it looks like a very promising future right now.
