The Democrats have been the only party in the past 10 years to even bring up the draft. Republicans have never touched it despite their much more militant stance. Now the rockstar of the Democrat party is bringing it up again. Don't know why, but those are the facts.

Mandatory universal volunteerism is the most ass-backward misuse of the English language I've heard in a long time. If he wants to provide opportunities for volunteering, that's terrific. If not, well, the 13th Amendment is the only thing that keeps him from mandatory volunteerism on a cotton plantation, he should have more respect for it.
