Not only will they stagnate by refusing to have open minds their approach to finance is rather naive. Witness the recent statement by Alan Greenspan saying that he was shocked - yes shocked - that corporations couldn't police themselves. I know the Republicans are terrified of socialism (except when it comes to womens bodies - then government intervention seems to be ok) but total deregulation has put our economy in the toilet.
