Default 2012 Olympics

It seems New York, Moscow and Madrid have been eliminated in the voting. It will be either London or Paris...

Which city do you think will win? I have the feeling it could be Paris.

Glad to hear London won.

This means a big improvement in the south east part of London where I live so it is definitely great news!

After Chiracs statements about Finland I'm happy that London won. About time they got the Olympics.

CONGRATS guys....there will be naysayers and the like....but I tell you, it's a great event for your own country to host...I remember when Sydney was announced for 2000 - and when the games actually begin...like I've said eleswhere tonight, if you're not patriotic then, you never will be.

I am glad you guys got it too. New York City is far too densely populated to have an event like that here. It would be a nightmare of logistics.

Exactly Kathleen. Even the people that live there knew that, hence the reason that they didn't want it either. It was Bloomberg's dream, so he could put yet another so called feather in his cap. Shame so much of the taxpayers money was wasted on this bid though, when the chances were so slim in the first place.

London is perfect, and the enthusiasm for it there is great!
