Looks good. I like them pulling Jack's support system...but I'd still like to see Jack REALLY on his own. Operating outside the the system, or maybe even the law.

I honestly can't believe 24 has a seventh series. The first was so unique even a second seemed unlikely. I'm going to hold off on the trailers or any spoilers (only 24 and Lost receive this privalege), but have a lot of belief this will be a Good Thing. The 5th was easily the best to date, at a point when most shows have lost their way. 6 was a little bit dodge, but from the interviews I've read, you got the impression the producers know where they went wrong.

'24' fans must wait until Jan. 2009

Fans of the Fox drama "24" will have to wait until next January to see Jack Bauer again, this television season's most prominent casualty of the Hollywood writers strike. The network has committed to air a full season on consecutive weeks, and had been planning to start last month.
But if it had started airing new episodes soon, the season finale would not have taken place until the summer, when TV networks rarely show their high-profile programs.

Even though eight episodes for this season had already been filmed before the beginning of the writers strike, producers would have had to ramp up production soon to complete the season.

A January 2009 start seemed the best way to comply with viewers' wishes that a season's episodes run without interruption to conclusion, Fox said on Thursday.

The company that produces the series, 20th Century Fox Television, also confirmed that creator Joel Surnow was leaving as one of the executive producers. Fox is owned by News Corp.

Surnow told Daily Variety that he had "decided it was time to see if there were other opportunities I wanted to pursue."

Thatīs just ****ing great. I hate waiting. Thereīs an interesting article about reinventing 24 after the shitty 6th season here.

I am very sad. I don't see why they couldn't have let it run into the summer.

I just hope that Season 8 follows soon after Season 7's finale - if they don't kill Jack off in this one that is! You don't get the impression Kiefer's getting bored of it yet from the preview trailer though, which is always a good sign for it's continuation into future seasons.

ī24ī prequel set

Fox's "24" will be returning in the fall, after all.

Two-hour TV movie to bridge gap between Seasons 6 and 7

The producers of the Emmy-winning series are developing a two-hour "prequel" to the upcoming seventh season.

The movie, designed to bridge the two-year gap between Seasons 6 and 7, is targeted to air in the fall, leading to the January return of the real-time drama. On Wednesday, "24" producers began securing the show's core cast members for the film.

Kuhl! Canīt wait to see it.

New trailer for season 7 is out. Looks still pretty good. Lots of action apparently. Not too excited about the Africa-plot though. And that tv-movie 24: Redemption is out on 23.11. Canīt wait.
