Default 3 consecutive super typhoons

i was not able to supervise as i may say, what's happening on JT these past few days, because we've been hit by 3 super typhoons! the flood occured and it totally wrecked houses, buildings, establishments, roads, other infrastractures, and lives of hundreds of people! almost the entire Luzon (our country is composed of 3 areas, luzon, visayas, and mindanao) was wrecked with these typhoons! iv never witnessed such flood in my whole life, the flood was everywhere, people were nowhere to go, the flood has mud that goes along thats why it really penetrates. The cause of these tragedy is that the unscrupulous illegal logging is everywhere in our place! it saddens me seeing people buried alive, innocent people, children. Dead are all over the place (cant provide for the news link) .... fortunately, i live on a mountainous area, so, we're not that affected! It may take time for the municipalities, cities, provinces, that are affected, to recover bcoz of the tremendous damage brought about by these flood! homeless people, famine, are such a big problem now.......rescue are on the go and lots of relief goods are being distributed! Sad Christmas awaits my patriots!

that truly is horrible and am glad you are ok!

Are typhoons trackable like hurricanes? Or do they just pop up like tornados? What's the season for them and how many do you usually get?

Not to divert from te tragedy here because it's terrible but until now Ive heard absolutely nothign about it whereas you couldn't get away fromt he hurricanes in florida over the Summer.

Kinda reinforces what we've been doign in sociology about the media dictating what information we recieve.

Maybe a small hint for your other thread about propaganda and education. Over here it was almost as much around as the hurricanes.
It would make me think when what you said is true.

typhoons are easily tracked, the problem was we didnt expect heavy rains, almost a week of non-stop raining, and we didnt either expect 3 super typhoons in a row! that's very unusual! the wind was strong, but the rainshowers really made the damage! glad, the capital city, manila, didnt have that much damage and we''re located in an upper portion of our place!

I'm so very sorry to hear about this! I know how horrible it is to keep getting hit by storms, although our hurricanes didn't do near the damage that you explained. I'm glad that you are OK and I wish you the best.
