There are such things in this world as invisible purple pigs. These fly around and only I can see them. Their leader is Patrick the Purple Pig. Nobody else can see them. Just me.

Prove that these pigs don't exist.
Don't take the p!ss. I started this as a serious topic.

Although, that type of bullsh!t is no different than what religous people believe. They believe what they are told by a group of old people, and don't think for themselves. Following the leader, not unlike sheep.
I am not taking the piss. My point is that anyone can make up a ludicrous story that is impossible to disprove. Most of the time they think that because of this, then it must be true. They fail to realise that it is also impossible to prove.

There is absolutley NO hard evidence to prove the existence of God.

The bible could have been written by anyone, and was probably added to and exaggerated over time.

Because she is becoming obsessed with me. (There is no need to reply to this topic to try and deny it, it is obvious.)

Faith is not about proving, it's about believing. The whole discussion of whether there is a god (note the lowercase g) is a matter of believing. Christians believe in matters that were written in a book by people, not by god. It's then up to each of us to decide whether or not we choose to think more of that book than it just being a mere historical depiction.

As for me, I think that there's a god of some sort, I just haven't made the final conclusions on the essence of the god(s).

I can agree with Laura's post.. It is a matter of believing.. whether you believe or not is up to the individual.. if you think there is, then there is God.. if you think there isn't, then there ain't..

How about Buddha and Allah ?? Buddha is supposed to existed as Holy Man in about 500 B.C ...But are they God?? Even some christians don't consider Jesus as God ..He is heavenly father's Son..

so, Buddha, Allah or Jesus.. do they exist??

The other way around. Do you have a proof that he exists? I never met him, never saw him in any newspaper or on TV or whereever.

IF there would be a God who is that good and takes care for us, why is there so much hunger, war and violence and a lot of other things that are going on.

Allah is just another name for God. In the End it's the same.

I don't know exactly who Buddha is but wasn't he a human being but no God? As far as I know Buddhism is not a religion where you pray to a god but more a way of life. The same for Jesus. He was a human being who lived but no God.

Hmmm.. I think you are right.. but Buddhism is a religion (at least, i think so) ..but Buddha is just a normal human beings.. That is evident in many scriptures.. The same goes for Mohammad (who is the disciple of Allah or so i was told..)
