1/5/04

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS - It's bad enough to have your car stolen - but with your dog inside?
That's what happened to 79-year old Bob Dille of Columbia Heights. On New Year's Eve, he went to buy a newspaper at a Holiday store. Bob left the keys in his Ford Explorer and when he came back outside and his dog Lucy were gone. Bob is heartbroken.
"I had her for all 12 years. I figured we'd both be gone about the same time probably," he told Channel 5.
His Ford Explorer is a 2000 model, blue in color with license number HRV-030. If you see it, call police.
Lucy is a 12-year old Terrier. She was wearing a black and white sweater when she was taken.
A Channel 5 viewer who first saw this story Thursday has put up a 250-dollar reward for tips leading to an arrest and return of the dog.
