I got:

S1 - A
M1 - B
M2 - C
P1 - C
P2 - B
P3 - C

Not great and I hated stats but it ended up being my highest scoring module! I did kinda stop trying after a few months though which no doubt reflected in my grades in the end - oh well!

I had the world's funniest and best Maths teacher! He called me a cretin once And many other things...

I did:

S1, S2
P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6
M1, M2, M3
D&D

S1 is pretty easy - S2 is one of those you should worry more about but you will probably find it easier than S1.

I got As in most, the odd B and a D in P6 which really impressed my Maths teacher - I missed the Double A in Further Maths by 2 marks and in my last exam got a D

Yeah I'm in the **** up p6 and get a D club as well It was one of those exams which I actually expected to do pretty well on as well, shown what I know!

Stats was a really bad subject tho... It was one of those maths modules you need to know what you're doing on, I was never very good at those :P Much more of a 2 pages of workings to an answer which means nothing but has lots of x's in it sort of guy

i didn't see how both mechanics or stats were relevent enough to maths. i know there's formulae and anlysis involved but mechanics seemed like physics and stats could have been anything for what it was worth.

I'd like to think I'm an above average mathmatition, being the top of only five students to do futher maths, and I found p 6 difficult as hell! If you didn't include those second rate maths modules you'd have to have average mcaverage doing p6... I think most students would break down and cry at p4!

i'd have much preferred to do P1-6 as i found pure maths easiest to get my head around. i'm sure 4-6 would have proved me wrong, though

eek! i dont care who the better mathematician is but please help me!! (erm i only have to do one stats module too but its fecking killing me!)

probability i just cant do i have never been able too, and i find normal distributons realy hard too. so here's the first stats question:

LIVE CLOSE LIVE SOME DISTANCE AWAY
management 6 14
administration 25 10
production 45 25

An employee is chosen at random

Find the probability that this employee

a) is an administrator (i can do this one)

b) lives close to the company, given that the employee is a manager

(I CANT DO THIS ONE!!!!! someone please explain how i do these types of P(A|B) ones pleeaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

of the managers , 90% are married, as are 60% of the administration and 80% of the production employees.

c) construct a tree diagram containing all the probabilities-(can do this one)

d) find the probability that the employee chosen at random is married (can do this one)

an employee is selected at random and found to be married

e) find the probability that this employee is in production (I CANT DO THIS ONE)

please dont larf cause im thick

P(A/B) = P(AnB) / P(B)

which basically means (AxB) / B = ((76/125)x(20/125)) / (20/125)

please don't quote me on this because i'm going from memory. you need to check it.

same as the above, i think: P(A/B)

like i said i'm really rusty on stats, and maths in general, so somebody else might say i'm wrong.
